What We Offer

Every session tells a different story.

  • Your body is doing incredible work right now. These sessions are designed to be comfortable, unhurried, and intimate. Whether we capture something soft and quiet, or bold and full of feeling, we'll find it together.

  • Every family is messy and loud and tender and funny in its own way. Capturing all those perfect imperfections is part of what drives me as a photographer. The real moments are always the best ones.

  • Those first days and weeks with your baby are a blur of wonder and exhaustion. Having photos of the tiny hands, the sleepy faces, and the quiet moments is a wonderful way to honor the beginning of a new chapter.

My Process

Flexible

Maternity, family, and newborn sessions ask something vulnerable of you. You might be navigating a body that feels unfamiliar. You might be wrangling a toddler who has other plans. You might be running on three hours of sleep with a newborn on your chest. None of that is a problem — it's the whole point.

Patient

I've spent years working with children of every age and temperament, and I've learned the best thing you can do is let go of the idea of a perfect session. Kids don't perform on command, and honestly? The real magic happens in unscripted moments. You just have to be patient enough to embrace them.

Intuitive

My process is guided by intuition. I'll arrive with a sense of the tone we're going for and a few ideas to ground us, but I leave plenty of room for the unexpected. Some of my favorite images have come from the moments nobody planned for at the outset.

Organic

Sessions typically take place outdoors at a location meaningful to you, in your home, or at a Portland studio. We'll talk through what feels right for your family before we ever pick up a camera. Getting the setting right will help you feel more natural in the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Most people find the sweet spot is between 28 and 36 weeks — when the belly is beautifully present but you're still feeling comfortable and mobile. That said, every body and every pregnancy is different, and we can work around whatever timeline makes sense for you.

  • I offer both, but I especially love in-home newborn sessions. There's something about documenting a new baby in the space where your family actually lives. The light through your windows, the dog in the corner, the bassinet you spent three weeks assembling. It feels real because it is.

  • Not even a little. I've spent a lot of time with kids of all ages and energy levels, and I promise I've seen it all. The squirmy ones, the shy ones, the ones who only want to talk about dinosaurs — I love working with all of them. The goal is never a posed portrait; it's an honest one.

  • I'll send you a style guide before your session with specific suggestions based on your location and the mood we're going for. In general: layers, textures, and colors that feel like you. Coordinated but not matching. Comfortable enough that you forget you're wearing it.

  • I'd recommend booking as early in your pregnancy as possible, especially if you have a specific due date window in mind. Newborn sessions should be booked during pregnancy, since the first two weeks go fast and space fills up quickly.

  • Yes — booking both together is a beautiful way to document the full arc of this season. We'd capture you before your baby arrives and then again once they're here, creating a paired set of images that tells the whole story. Reach out and we can talk through what that looks like.
